What are the symptoms of brain cancer

Brain cancer is mainly caused by head tumors compressing the tissues and nerves of the brain, which leads to some corresponding symptoms. Some patients will experience symptoms such as memory loss, dizziness, drowsiness, and coma. Some patients will suffer from limb numbness, hemiplegia, aphasia, etc. due to tumor compression of nerves. In addition, some patients will also suffer from epileptic seizures, headaches, vomiting, blurred vision and other symptoms.

The specific symptoms are introduced below:

1. Sensory disturbance: Sensory disturbance is divided into general sensory disturbance and cortical sensory disturbance. The general pain and temperature disturbance caused by parietal lobe tumors is not obvious. Even if it occurs, it occurs at the distal end of the limbs and presents as very mild glove or sock type sensory disturbance.

2. Body image disorder: The patient has difficulty recognizing his own body structure. This phenomenon is especially common in right parietal lobe lesions. The mechanism of its occurrence has not yet been fully understood. There are many clinical manifestations, such as the patient's indifference to his hemiplegia, not paying attention to it, as if it has nothing to do with him, and no anxiety, which is called hemiplegia.

3. Astructuropathy: Astructuropathy is also called structural apraxia. It refers to the inability to correctly recognize and distinguish the spatial relationship between the structure arrangement of spatial objects, buildings, paintings, patterns, etc., the inability to combine them, the inability to understand the relationship between them, and the inability to correctly use tools to work, making life difficult.

4. Syndrome: When lesions occur in the angular gyrus and supramarginal gyrus in the posterior and inferior part of the parietal lobe, as well as the part where the parietal lobe transitions to the occipital lobe, the clinical manifestations are mainly finger agnosia, left-right disorientation, agraphia, and acalculia.

5. Dyslexia: Lesions in the parietal-occipital lobe of the left cerebral hemisphere often cause dyslexia, that is, the loss of reading ability, accompanied by writing ability difficulties.

6. Epileptic seizures: Epileptic seizures caused by parietal lobe tumors are mostly localized and often sensory, manifested as paroxysmal sensory abnormalities on the opposite side of the lesion. The first sites are usually the thumb and index finger, but it is not uncommon for them to start in the foot. They are mainly characterized by paroxysmal numbness, electric shock-like sensations or pain, and extend in a fixed direction.

Brain cancer is very harmful to people. We should focus on prevention and exercise regularly.
