Why does esophageal cancer cause cough and how to treat it?

Cough in esophageal cancer patients is usually caused by primary diseases, bronchitis, pneumonia, etc. The specific cause needs to be examined in detail in the hospital and treated with surgery and drugs.

1. Primary disease:

Esophageal cancer is a common malignant tumor disease. If esophageal cancer is not removed in time, it will secrete a large amount of mucus, irritate the trachea, and cause coughing. It can be removed by traditional surgery.

2. Bronchitis:

It is an upper respiratory tract infection disease, mostly caused by infectious bacteria. Symptoms such as chest tightness and shortness of breath will appear, and it will be affected by local inflammation, which will irritate the respiratory tract and cause reflex cough. You can take drugs such as compound licorice mixture, benproperine phosphate tablets, and dextromethorphan hydrobromide tablets as recommended by the doctor.

3. Pneumonia:

Most of them are caused by long-term exposure of patients to allergens and pathogenic microorganisms, and symptoms such as chills and sputum will appear. Due to inflammatory stimulation, a large amount of bronchoalveolar secretions cause a severe cough. You can take amoxicillin capsules, erythromycin tablets, azithromycin tablets and other drugs as recommended by the doctor for treatment.

In addition to the above reasons, it may also be caused by tuberculosis, alveolar microlithiasis, lung cysts, etc. It is recommended to take isoniazid tablets and other medications according to the doctor's advice. Do not exercise vigorously during the treatment of the disease, otherwise it will cause the cough to worsen.
