What does qi and blood stagnation mean

If you feel weak, pale, and have a feeling of lack of energy and blood recently, Chinese medicine will often diagnose you with energy and blood stagnation. Stagnation of Qi and blood often leads to stagnation of Qi first and then blood stasis. The main symptoms are purple tongue, sluggish pulse, chest and flank fullness, stabbing pain that is resistant to pressure, wandering pain, irritability, etc. There are many reasons for the stagnation of Qi and blood, which may be caused by cold or hot stimulation, or excessive bleeding due to injuries.

1. The meaning of Qi and blood stagnation

Stagnation of Qi and blood refers to the circulation of blood in the body, nourishing the whole body. If there is deficiency, stagnation, or delirium, these are all symptoms. The pathological mechanism is: generally it is caused by poor circulation of Qi first, and then causes blood stasis. Qi stagnation occurs first, which leads to blood stasis. Blood stasis such as blood leaving the meridians may also block the circulation of Qi, which affects the circulation of Qi. This means blood stasis occurs first, which leads to qi stagnation. Qi stagnation and blood stasis may also be formed at the same time due to injuries such as sprains.
