What's the matter with coughing up blood

Coughing is a common condition, and there are many reasons for it. However, coughing can generally recover on its own. However, coughing up blood is different. This is a manifestation of coughing up blood. This situation is generally a condition in which our internal tissues are diseased, and it may be caused by many diseases. So what is coughing up blood?

Respiratory diseases. Such as pulmonary tuberculosis, bronchiectasis, bronchitis, lung abscess, lung cancer, pneumonia, paragonimiasis, pulmonary amebiasis, pulmonary echinococcosis, pulmonary fungal disease, pneumocystis carinii, bronchial stones, lung metastatic tumors, pulmonary adenoma, silicosis, etc. These inflammations lead to increased permeability of bronchial mucosa or lesion capillaries, or rupture of submucosal blood vessel walls, causing bleeding.

Circulatory system diseases. Common ones include rheumatic heart disease, mitral stenosis, hypertensive heart disease, pulmonary hypertension, aortic aneurysm, pulmonary infarction and pulmonary arteriovenous fistula.

trauma. Chest trauma, contusion, rib fractures, gunshot wounds, explosion injuries and medical procedures (such as chest or lung puncture, biopsy, bronchoscopy, etc.) can occasionally cause hemoptysis.

Systemic bleeding tendency disease. Common ones include leukemia, hemophilia, aplastic anemia, pulmonary hemorrhagic leptospirosis, epidemic hemorrhagic fever, pulmonary plague, thrombocytopenic purpura, disseminated intravascular coagulation, chronic renal failure, uremia, etc.

Other less common diseases or abnormalities. Such as alternative menstruation (no vaginal bleeding), oxygen poisoning, Goodpasture's syndrome, bronchiectasis, sinusitis, and visceroposition syndrome.

Although various examination methods have been applied to patients with hemoptysis, the cause of hemoptysis in 5% to 15% of patients is still unknown, which is called occult hemoptysis. Some occult hemoptysis may be caused by lesions such as nonspecific ulcers of the trachea and bronchus, varicose veins, early adenomas, small bronchial stones and mild bronchiectasis.

This may be related to bronchitis or tuberculosis, and lung tumors must be ruled out. It is not advisable to deal with it on your own. You should first check a routine blood test, tuberculin test and chest X-ray. If it is bronchitis, it can be treated with antibiotics. Tuberculosis requires regular treatment at a tuberculosis prevention and control center. Tumors require timely surgical treatment. The possibility of a tumor at your age is very small.
