How to treat bronchial lung cancer? Revealing the common treatment options for bronchial lung cancer

Bronchogenic carcinoma can be treated with palliative radiotherapy, surgery, drugs and other methods. After treatment, the patient's prognosis is related to factors such as whether it can be diagnosed early and whether it can be treated promptly and reasonably. Generally speaking, squamous cell carcinoma has a better prognosis, followed by adenocarcinoma, and undifferentiated small cell carcinoma has a worse prognosis. In addition, after treatment, patients should also have regular follow-up visits.

Bronchogenic carcinoma originates from the trachea, bronchi, lungs, etc. The pathogenesis of this disease has not yet been fully clarified, but there is evidence that the disease is related to factors such as smoking, air pollution, genetics, and occupational carcinogens. Once the disease is contracted, the patient will have symptoms such as irritating cough, loss of appetite, fatigue, fever, and weight loss. In order to alleviate these symptoms, patients should actively seek treatment. So how should this disease be treated?

1. Molecular targeted drugs

Molecular targeted drugs can inhibit tumor growth and even cause tumor regression. This type of drug mainly targets specific molecules in tumor tissues or cells and blocks the biological function of the target. For example, erlotinib and gefitinib mainly target epidermal growth factor receptor. Drugs such as bevacizumab mainly target tumor angiogenesis, while crizotinib mainly targets anaplastic lymphoma kinase.

2. Surgical treatment

Surgical treatment is the best treatment for the disease in the early stage, which can be divided into radical surgery and palliative surgery. Patients should strive for radical resection surgery to achieve the best and most thorough removal of the tumor, reduce tumor metastasis and recurrence, and conduct final pathological TNM staging to guide postoperative comprehensive treatment.

3. Palliative radiotherapy

The purpose of palliative radiotherapy is to inhibit tumor development, delay tumor spread and relieve symptoms. This treatment has a positive effect on intractable cough, atelectasis, hemoptysis, superior vena cava obstruction syndrome caused by lung cancer, and can also relieve pain caused by bone metastasis and symptoms caused by brain metastasis.
