Wrist tendon adhesion

Wrist tendon adhesion

Adhesions of the tendons in the wrist are often caused by surgery. Because if there is tendon trauma in our wrist, surgical treatment is required, but after treatment, if the recovery effect is not good, wrist tendon adhesion will occur. Generally speaking, we cannot see the adhesion of wrist tendons and can only judge it through some medical diagnosis and physical reactions.

Tendon adhesion (adhesionoftendon), after tendon trauma or surgery, adhesion often occurs with surrounding tissues, manifested as movement disorders of the limbs innervated by the affected tendon. After tendon adhesion occurs, it may affect the sliding of the tendon at the least, or cause the failure of tendon repair surgery at the worst. Treatment is conservative and surgical.

Differential Diagnosis

1. Skin scar contracture

2. Joint capsule contracture

3. Bone and joint injuries

4. Tendon strain

It usually occurs when the body is tired and the intensity of the load is exceeded. The two areas most susceptible to strain are the back of the thigh and the inner thigh. The main symptom of a hamstring strain is sharp pain in the leg and back when you straighten your leg. The main symptom of an adductor strain is sharp pain in the inner thigh when you lift your leg out to the side.

5. Tendon sprain

Tendons are a type of soft tissue. Soft tissue refers to the human body's skin, subcutaneous tissue, muscles, tendons, ligaments, joint capsules, synovial bursae, nerves, blood vessels, etc. Sprain refers to soft tissue injuries of the limb joints or body, such as sprains of muscles, tendons, ligaments, blood vessels, etc., without symptoms of fractures, dislocations, or skin and flesh damage.

6. Tendon cyst

Cysts generally develop slowly and rarely cause symptoms other than a localized lump and occasional localized pain.

7. Tendinitis

The tenosynovium is the terminal end where ligaments, tendons, and joint capsules attach to bones. Enthesitis is a common symptom of reactive arthritis. It manifests as local pain and tenderness at the point where the tendon attaches to the bone. The Achilles tendon, plantar tendon, patellar tendon attachment points and the spine are most likely to be affected. Severely ill patients may have limited mobility or muscle atrophy due to local pain.
