What are the symptoms of liver cancer metastasis? 7 symptoms of liver cancer patients indicate metastasis

Because metastasis and spread are one of the characteristics of liver cancer, people have always been concerned about the location and symptoms of liver cancer metastasis. So what are the common symptoms after liver cancer metastasis?

1. Cough and hemoptysis: Cancer cells invade the hepatic vein and enter the systemic circulation, which in turn causes the cancer cells to metastasize to the lungs and may cause cough and hemoptysis.

2. Lower limb edema: Tumor thrombus blocks the inferior vena cava, which may cause severe lower limb edema and even a drop in blood pressure.

3. Pleural effusion or hemothorax: Pleural metastasis can cause pleural effusion or hemothorax in the pleural lymph nodes, which can easily be misdiagnosed as tuberculous pleurisy.

4. Dyspnea and chest pain: When cancer thrombus blocks the pulmonary artery or branches, it can cause pulmonary infarction, sudden severe dyspnea and chest pain.

5. Swollen lymph nodes: Local metastasis can spread to the lymph nodes at the portal, supraclavicular, para-aortic, pancreatic, spleen, etc., causing symptoms such as swollen lymph nodes.

6. Portal hypertension and refractory ascites: Most patients with liver cancer may have intrahepatic metastasis in the early stages. Liver cancer cells invade the portal vein branches to form cancer thrombi, which block the portal vein and cause portal hypertension and refractory ascites.

7. Pain: Cancer metastasis to bones can cause local pain, which is characterized by gradual change from intermittent to continuous, progressively aggravating, and pathological fractures may also occur in the later stages.
