The incidence rate of lung cancer is still very high in today's society, but the quality of life of patients with lung cancer is still very high after effective treatment. However, this requires the clinical cooperation of our patients to achieve a certain treatment effect. For this reason, our experts have summarized the nursing diagnosis of lung cancer and how to care for the respiratory tract. Nursing diagnosis/nursing problem 1. Impaired gas exchange is related to lung tissue lesions, tumors blocking bronchus, and atelectasis. 2. Ineffectiveness of clearing the airway is related to increased respiratory secretions and fear of coughing after surgery. 3. Inefficient breathing pattern is associated with secretions blocking the bronchus, atelectasis, and reduced lung tissue capacity. 4. The pain is related to the tumor invading the parietal pleura. .Respiratory care (1) Observe respiratory symptoms, including cough, sputum, and blood in sputum; collect sputum for culture and cytology examination. (2) Improve respiratory function: Encourage patients to take deep breaths and expectorate effectively; provide oxygen, antispasmodics, nebulizer inhalation, and anti-infection if necessary. (3) Postural drainage: It is used for patients with large amounts of sputum and those who have undergone bronchography. Expectoration is usually performed before bedtime, or 2 to 4 times a day, each time for 10 to 20 minutes. ① Before drainage, check X-rays or CT scans and auscultate the breath sounds of both lungs to understand the condition of the lung lesions; also understand whether there are any conditions that are not suitable for postural drainage, such as heart failure, spinal deformity, hemoptysis, unstable vital signs, etc. ② During drainage, the affected area should be placed in the highest position, and the back should be patted gently in the direction of drainage. The patient should be guided to inhale and exhale slowly, and the amount, properties, and odor of the sputum should be observed. The patient should be observed for any adverse reactions. If sweating or palpitations occur, the drainage should be stopped. ③After drainage, send pus for examination as needed; perform oral care; and auscultate the breath sounds of both lungs. Although our experts have provided respiratory care in the above disease knowledge related to lung cancer, patients with lung cancer also need pain or fluid care. Especially when lung cancer patients are receiving chemotherapy drugs, it is important to observe the patient's infusion reaction, which can also improve the patient's treatment effect. |
