What are the manifestations of primary liver cancer in CT examination? Pay attention to two paragraphs when checking primary liver cancer

The CT manifestations of primary liver cancer are: plain scan often shows liver cirrhosis, localized protrusion of the edge contour, single or multiple, round or quasi-round masses with clear or blurred boundaries in the liver parenchyma, most of which are low-density, and the surrounding low-density translucent bands are the pseudocapsule of the tumor. Necrosis may occur in the center of giant liver cancer, resulting in a lower density area.

Contrast-enhanced spiral CT multi-phase scan: In the arterial phase, the normal liver parenchyma, which is mainly supplied by the portal vein, has not yet shown contrast enhancement, while the tumor, which is supplied by the hepatic artery, quickly shows obvious patchy and nodular enhancement, and the CT value quickly reaches the peak value; in the portal venous phase, the contrast enhancement density of the normal liver parenchyma begins to increase, and the contrast enhancement density of the tumor decreases rapidly; in the equilibrium phase, the contrast enhancement density of the mass continues to decrease, and a low-density state is shown in the obviously enhanced liver parenchyma. The entire contrast enhancement process shows a "fast appearance and fast exit" phenomenon.

If vascular invasion or tumor thrombosis occurs, dilation of the portal vein, hepatic vein, or inferior vena cava may be seen, with filling defects after enhancement; invasion of the biliary system may cause bile duct dilatation; enlargement of the lymph nodes in the hepatic hilum or around the aorta and vena cava may indicate lymph node metastasis.
