What are the main symptoms of primary liver cancer? Six symptoms of primary liver cancer are very common

In fact, there are many factors that lead to primary liver cancer, so we should pay more attention to medicine in our daily life and take timely prevention measures. Our patients will have many symptoms when they suffer from this disease, which will cause great pain. If the situation is not good, there will be recurrence, so our patients should also pay attention to care.

Primary liver cancer is also a relatively common disease nowadays. There are many factors that lead to this disease. Patients with this disease must receive timely treatment and do not delay. Delay will only make the disease more and more serious. Patients with primary liver cancer will have many symptoms, so we patients must pay attention. So what are the symptoms of primary liver cancer? Let's take a look at it together.

1. Pain in the liver area: It is the most common and important clinical symptom. The main pain is persistent pain, dull pain, or stabbing pain, or at night after obvious fatigue. Pain in the liver area is due to the rapid growth of the tumor, increased tension on the liver capsule, or rupture of the cancerous nodule under the capsule, or rupture of the liver nodule due to bleeding. The location of the pain is closely related to the location of the liver. If the lesion is located in the right lobe of the liver, it may manifest as right hypochondrium pain; if it is located in the left lobe of the liver, there will be epigastric pain; if it is located in the back of the diaphragm, the pain will radiate to the left shoulder. If the pain is sudden, accompanied by shock and other manifestations, it is mostly caused by the rupture of the cancerous nodule due to bleeding.

2. Nausea and vomiting: This is a common symptom of anorexia, often caused by compression of gastrointestinal tumors leading to liver damage. The more severe the condition, the more obvious the symptoms.

3. Abdominal distension: due to tumors, ascites and liver dysfunction. Abdominal distension is obvious, especially after eating and in the afternoon. Patients often reduce their food intake to alleviate symptoms, but they often mistake it for indigestion and do not pay attention, resulting in delayed diagnosis and treatment.

4. Fatigue and weight loss: due to the metabolism of malignant tumors, overeating and undereating, etc. It may not be obvious in the early stage. As the disease progresses, the weight increases and decreases. In the later stage, the patient becomes extremely thin, has poor blood, exhaustion, and cachexia. A small number of patients with slowly progressing liver cancer may also experience temporary weight gain after rest and supportive treatment.

5. Diarrhea: It is mainly caused by the decreased digestion and absorption capacity due to different degrees of liver damage, and portal vein cancer thrombosis caused by the metastasis of liver cancer cells. Although this symptom is not common, it can sometimes be the first symptom of liver cancer, and is often misdiagnosed as a gastrointestinal infection. Diarrhea is not necessarily accompanied by abdominal pain. It usually occurs after eating, and the stool contains undigested food residues, often without pus and blood. Anti-inflammatory drugs cannot control it. In severe cases, defecation more than ten times a day can cause the condition to deteriorate rapidly.

6. Fever: Tumor necrosis, increased metabolic products, tumor with bile duct obstruction. Those who are not infected are called cancer fever, without chills. Fever is a common symptom of liver cancer, the body temperature is generally between 37.5 and 38 degrees Celsius, and inflammatory diffuse liver cancer has a high fever, the body temperature is as high as 39 degrees Celsius. It is easy to misdiagnose as liver abscess, and antibiotic treatment is often ineffective, while indomethacin (Xiao Yantong) can reduce fever.
