How to prevent liver cancer in daily life

Liver cancer has a higher mortality rate among all types of malignant tumors, and many of them occur in young and middle-aged people. However, its early symptoms are not obvious and only become more obvious in the late stages. Therefore, early prevention of liver cancer is necessary.

In daily life, we should pay attention to the following 4 points:

1. Prevent hepatitis, because the risk of liver cancer in patients with hepatitis will be greatly increased, and patients who have already contracted hepatitis should be examined every six months. And always pay attention to whether there are symptoms such as anorexia, fatigue, poor spirits, prolonged edema, and pain in the liver area.

2. Pay attention to food hygiene and do not eat moldy food, because such food contains aflatoxin, a carcinogen. Eat less pickled food and eat more fresh vegetables, fruits, fish, meat, eggs, etc.

3. Live a regular life, do more outdoor activities, focus on physical exercise, and enhance the body's immunity, but avoid overwork, maintain an optimistic mental state, and try to avoid or reduce activities that cause emotional fluctuations.

4. Quit bad lifestyles or habits, avoid smoking and drinking, and pay attention to food hygiene and drinking water hygiene.

What are the treatments for primary liver cancer?

Primary liver cancer refers to cancer that originates from liver cells or intrahepatic bile duct cells. More than 95% of primary liver cancers originate from liver cells. The occurrence of primary liver cancer may be the result of the combined effects of multiple factors. This disease is most closely related to chemical carcinogens such as hepatitis B virus, hepatitis C virus, and aflatoxin. There are several ways to treat it:

(1) Surgical treatment: mainly suitable for small and massive liver cancers.

(2) Percutaneous transfemoral artery puncture and transcatheter chemoembolization (TAE): Under X-ray fluoroscopy, a catheter is inserted into the proper hepatic artery or its branches, and anticancer drugs and embolic agents are injected.

(3)Radiotherapy.

(4) Intratumoral injection of anhydrous alcohol: Under the guidance of ultrasound, anhydrous ethanol (alcohol) is injected into the tumor through percutaneous liver puncture to treat liver cancer.

(5) Targeted therapy: using specific antibodies, monoclonal antibodies or tumor-targeting

The chemical drugs are used as carriers, and the labeled nuclides and chemical drugs or immunotoxins are used as "warheads". Specific guided therapy can achieve the goal of killing more tumors and reducing damage to normal tissues.

(6) Immunotherapy: Immunotherapy is the use of biological immunomodulators for treatment. It is combined with surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy to reduce the suppression of the immune system by strong treatment, increase treatment tolerance, and play a role in adjuvant therapy to a certain extent.
