What are the early symptoms of liver cancer? What are the effects of liver enhanced CT scan for liver cancer?

What are the early symptoms of liver cancer? Cancer has always been the most difficult disease to cure, so it is something we need to pay special attention to. If you have early symptoms of liver cancer, you should do a liver enhanced CT scan in time to confirm the diagnosis. Let's learn about the early symptoms of liver cancer and the role of liver enhanced CT scan.

Early symptoms of liver cancer

Some patients with cirrhosis or hepatitis have basically stable conditions and do not have symptoms of chills or fever, but they may suddenly experience pain or severe pain in the liver area. This is generally an early symptom of liver cancer and patients should pay attention to it.

Liver pain. There may be persistent or intermittent pain in the liver area, which may sometimes be aggravated by changes in body position.

The patient can feel a mass in the right upper abdomen or upper abdomen. When touched, these parts will feel hard and uneven, and there is a clear tendency to increase, but the patient does not feel any discomfort. Patients with this disease will have symptoms of dry mouth, irritability, easy insomnia, and gum and nasal bleeding. Patients may feel abdominal distension and discomfort in the liver area.

Systemic failure. Severe fatigue, weight loss, progressive anemia and edema.

So, what are the effects of liver enhanced CT?

The role of enhanced CT examination of the liver

You need to consult your local hospital for the cost of enhanced CT examination, because the price of each hospital is different. Enhanced scanning is one of the CT scanning technologies. It uses intravascular contrast agent to scan. Iodine-containing organic compounds, i.e. contrast agents, are injected intravenously. Generally, 60% diatrizoate 1.5~2.0ml/kg is injected rapidly intravenously to maintain a certain level of iodine in the blood, so that the images of organs and lesions are enhanced and displayed more clearly.

Enhanced CT is to inject a contrast agent into the blood. If there is an abnormal mass in the body, it has more blood vessels and a relatively large amount of contrast agent, so it is easier to distinguish it from the surrounding normal tissues during CT examination. The contrast and contrast are significantly improved compared to ordinary CT examination.

CT can determine the severity of liver cirrhosis by showing the shape of the liver, the size of the spleen, and the presence or absence of ascites. Fast spiral CT can complete the scan of the entire liver in one breath-hold (about 20 seconds), which can avoid the up and down movement of the layers caused by respiratory movement and the omission of small lesions, and can also overcome the problem of artifacts caused by respiratory movement. Spiral CT can perform thin-layer scanning with a minimum layer thickness of 1mm, and the detection rate of small liver cancers of 1 to 3cm can reach 90%, and high-quality three-dimensional image reconstruction can be performed within the length of the spiral scan. For liver cancers that are difficult to make a clear diagnosis with enhanced CT, angiography CT can be further used. The injection of contrast agent into the hepatic artery through a percutaneous catheter and the observation of CT when the hepatic artery is developed are called CT angiography.
