What are the symptoms of advanced liver cancer? There are four manifestations

Liver cancer itself is a relatively common malignant disease that poses a certain threat to people's health. If it is not controlled as soon as possible, the disease will continue to develop. Once it develops to the late stage, the effect of treatment will be affected, and it may even affect the quality of life. So what are the symptoms of late-stage liver cancer?

1. Obvious pain <br/>Pain is the most obvious symptom of late-stage hepatocellular carcinoma. Liver failure can cause various systemic dysfunctions such as skin pigmentation, malnutrition, systemic edema, peritoneal effusion, significantly decreased immune function, decreased hemoglobin, and skin bleeding tendency.
2. Damage to important organs <br/>In the late stages of hepatocellular carcinoma, there is damage to important organs. Cancer cells will invade and destroy the normal structure of the organs, causing impaired organ function. If the tumor blocks important ducts, it can easily lead to death. Hepatocellular carcinoma can cause obstruction of the common bile duct, leading to jaundice, liver and digestive dysfunction, and is also the main cause of death in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma.

3. Metabolic abnormalities and bleeding <br/>It can be caused by metastatic cancer or ectopic secretion. Common symptoms include hypercalcemia, hypoglycemia, and purine and uric acid metabolism disorders, and even renal failure and death. Bleeding in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma can be caused by suppression of bone marrow hematopoiesis, thrombocytopenia, or direct damage to blood vessels by cancer cells, or severe infection leading to rupture of blood vessels. Massive blood loss can lead to death. Bleeding is a very serious antemortem symptom of advanced hepatocellular carcinoma.

4. Cachexia of exhaustion <br/>The growth of cancer cells will consume nutrients in the body. When patients enter the late stage, the nutritional components will be significantly reduced. As time goes by, many symptoms will appear, such as severe anemia, edema, fatigue, and even malnutrition. These are also cachexia, which will eventually cause the system to enter a state of exhaustion and lead to death.
