Commonly used surgical methods for gastric cancer

There are two common surgical methods for gastric cancer:

(1) The extent of perigastric lymph node removal is represented by D (dissection), such as gastrectomy, first-station lymph node Those whose lymph nodes are not completely removed are called D gastrectomy. Those whose lymph nodes at the first stage (N1) have been removed are called Di gastrectomy, those whose lymph nodes at the third stage (N2) have been completely removed are called D3 gastrectomy and D4 gastrectomy, respectively.

(2) The radical degree of gastric cancer surgery is divided into three levels: A, B, and C. Level A surgery means that the level of lymph nodes to be removed must exceed the level of lymph nodes to which metastasis has occurred, that is, D>N, and there is no cancerous tissue infiltration within 1 cm of the surgical margin of the gastrectomy specimen. Level B surgery means that the level of lymph nodes to be removed is the same as the level of lymph nodes to which metastasis has occurred, that is, D=N, and there is cancer cell infiltration within 1 cm of the surgical resection. Level C surgery means that in addition to the removal of part of the primary lesion and part of the metastatic lesion, there is still residual tumor.
