Is liver cancer contagious? Pay attention to those caused by hepatitis B

The incidence of liver cancer is increasing year by year, and liver cancer develops very quickly, and it may cause the patient to lose his life in a year or even a few months. When a patient develops liver cancer, the caregiver will be more worried that liver cancer will be transmitted to them. So, is liver cancer contagious?
1. Is liver cancer contagious?

First of all, liver cancer itself is not contagious, but there are many causes of liver cancer. 90% of liver cancer patients are caused by chronic hepatitis such as hepatitis B. Because hepatitis B is contagious, liver cancer caused by hepatitis B is also contagious to a certain extent and can be transmitted through blood, body fluids, etc. Therefore, if you often come into contact with patients and have wounds on your body, the possibility of being infected with chronic hepatitis is relatively high, thus increasing the incidence of liver cancer.
Besides chronic hepatitis, there are many other causes of liver cancer, such as aflatoxin in food, smoking and drinking, consuming large amounts of nitrates, which are converted into nitramines, imbalance of trace elements in the body, and drinking water pollution, which can also affect liver cells, causing mutations in liver cells and forming tumors. This type of liver cancer is generally not contagious. However, people who live with patients still have a high incidence of liver cancer, mainly because they often eat the same food, drink the same water, and have the same living habits, which can induce liver cancer.
2. Methods of preventing liver cancer
1. Hepatitis B vaccination

Because hepatitis B patients are very likely to develop liver cancer, getting vaccinated against hepatitis B to prevent hepatitis B disease can effectively prevent the occurrence of liver cancer.
2. Control hepatitis C. Hepatitis C virus can also easily cause liver cancer. Pay attention to reducing blood transfusions or the use of blood products as much as possible to reduce the occurrence of hepatitis C, which is also very helpful in preventing liver cancer.
3. Avoid eating moldy food because aflatoxin can easily induce liver cancer, so you must usually avoid moldy food, even food that is suspected of being moldy.
4. Appropriate selenium supplementation: Eating more selenium-rich foods to increase the body's selenium content can play a good role in cancer prevention and treatment, so it is helpful in preventing liver cancer.
