How to care after lung cancer surgery? Start from these three aspects

After surgery for lung cancer, nutritional care is needed to replenish the body's nutrition in a timely manner. Proper wound analgesia can avoid muscle tension. At the same time, proper exercise can also maintain normal lung function and relieve physical discomfort.

Lung cancer cells can be treated through surgery. The most common method is to use surgery to remove the tumor in the lung. After the operation, the patient's body will be weak and need postoperative care. So how to care for lung cancer after surgery?
1. Nutritional care <br/>In the days after the operation, because the body's functions have not fully recovered, the intestines have a stress response during the operation and cannot digest and absorb food normally. At this time, extra-intestinal nutrition is needed to support life, and parenteral nutrition support therapy is needed to maintain life, such as using a nasogastric tube. In addition, oral nutrition can also be used to improve the quality of life, and protein, carbohydrates and vitamins can be appropriately consumed.
2. Reasonable analgesia <br/>After the effect of postoperative anesthesia wears off, many patients will feel obvious pain in their body muscles, which will restrict their breathing and cause their breathing to become faster. In order to avoid worsening pain, you can take appropriate analgesics, or you can adopt a semi-recumbent position to keep your posture comfortable. You can gently massage your muscles to reduce pain.
3. Exercise appropriately <br/>After surgery, patients are prohibited from smoking and drinking. They can exercise appropriately during the recovery period. In order to maintain normal lung function, you can slowly resume exercise according to your physical condition. In addition, you can start with upper limb joint exercises and then slowly transition to lower limb exercises.
