Can B-ultrasound rule out endometrial cancer? It cannot be ruled out

B-ultrasound cannot rule out endometrial cancer. The main manifestation of endometrial cancer in B-ultrasound examination is inhomogeneous echoes, but such B-ultrasound manifestations may also occur in other situations, such as artificial abortion and residues in the uterine cavity. The specific nature of the B-ultrasound examination cannot be seen, and curettage and pathological examination must be performed to determine it.

Endometrial cancer not only has a high incidence rate, but is also a very serious condition, causing adverse symptoms such as irregular uterine bleeding. Once an abnormality is found in the body, it is necessary to conduct corresponding examinations in a timely manner. B-ultrasound is a commonly used gynecological examination method that can be used to examine the disease. So can B-ultrasound rule out endometrial cancer?
1. Can B-ultrasound rule out endometrial cancer?
Although B-ultrasound can detect a variety of gynecological diseases, it cannot be used to rule out endometrial cancer. The main manifestation of this disease in B-ultrasound examination is the appearance of uneven echoes, and other gynecological diseases may also have this manifestation, such as residues in the uterine cavity after abortion. However, the specific nature of the disease cannot be seen through B-ultrasound examination. It must be determined by curettage and pathological examination. If there is repeated vaginal bleeding and endometrial thickening during B-ultrasound examination, it is very likely that you have this cancer, but you cannot simply rely on the results of B-ultrasound examination to rule out the disease.
What tests can rule out endometrial cancer?
1. Segmental curettage examination
If you want to rule out this disease, the best way is to do a segmental curettage examination, which can be regarded as the gold standard. After the curettage, the tissue should be pathologically tested to see if cancer has occurred. You can also combine the tumor index for examination. Under normal circumstances, CA15 will not show a significant increase, but if it exceeds the normal value, it is very likely that extrauterine metastasis has occurred, and you need to be vigilant.
2. Tumor marker test
Tumor marker test can also help rule out endometrial cancer. Simply put, it is to check whether there are specific and sensitive markers. Some patients will have abnormal CA125 or CA19-9, CA153 or HE4. This is related to the histological type, the degree of invasion outside the uterus, and the depth of infiltration of the myometrium. This is very helpful for the diagnosis of the disease and postoperative monitoring of the condition.
3. MRI or CT examination
After the diagnosis of endometrial cancer, a pelvic MRI or CT examination is required. If symptoms of distant metastasis occur, a PTE-CT examination is required for systemic evaluation.
