Is fibroid tumor harmful to human body?

As people's living standards continue to improve, they pay more and more attention to their own health. However, diseases sometimes take advantage of this loophole. Diseases such as fibroma bring great difficulties to people's lives and work. So, is fibroma harmful to the human body? Let's take a closer look.

It is a relatively common benign tumor of well-differentiated fibrous connective tissue. It is more common in young people, solitary, mostly millimeters to several centimeters, and painless. It is often discovered accidentally, hard, with clear boundaries, movable, and slow growth. It can occur in subcutaneous tissues of all parts of the body. For example, tumors that grow in the breasts of young women and are mainly glandular are called fibroadenomas, and tumors that grow in muscles with muscle tissue are called fibromyomas. When multiple tumors occur, they are called tumor-like lesions, which are called fibromatosis.

For example, congenital systemic fibromatosis is "benign" in appearance, but new lesions in important organs can also lead to death. If they grow in the compressed area of the sacrum, they will grow rapidly, erode, ulcerate, bleed and become malignant. Desmoid fibroma (ligament-like tumor) that grows in the abdominal wall rectus abdominis, neck, trunk and limbs is more common in women. If radical resection is not performed, it is very likely to recur, but it does not metastasize, so it is called a borderline tumor.

Fibroids are benign tumors, but they may also become malignant. They are usually treated with surgical resection. Most fibroids are curable. Patients should relieve their worries, maintain an optimistic and stable mood, pay attention to the combination of work and rest, avoid overwork, eat more fresh fruits and vegetables, avoid eating poultry fed with hormones and health products containing hormones, and eat less high-fat foods and sweets.
