The occurrence of fibroid disease is very harmful to human health. Due to different physical constitutions of people, some people have weaker resistance to disease. It is recommended that after suffering from this disease, you must actively cooperate with treatment. Let’s take a look at the correct diagnosis of whether you have fibroids? 1. Breast fibroids: In the upper quadrant, they are mostly single, but multiple lumps may appear in one or both breasts at the same time or successively. They are round or oval, with smooth surface, clear borders, hard texture, and can be pushed. They are not adhered to the skin and deep tissues. They grow slowly and can increase rapidly during pregnancy. There are no lumps in the axillary lymph nodes. X-ray mammography: The edge of the mass is clear and smooth, and the mass appears uniform. Biopsy: The fibroma is covered with a capsule and is hard in texture. The cut surface is grayish white and shiny, and many irregularly arranged cracks can be seen with the naked eye. 2. Protuberant fibroma: There are many cellular components; the nucleus is large and slightly dysmorphic, and there are many mitotic figures. If it is progressively enlarged and the diameter exceeds 2 to 3 cm, it indicates malignant fibrous histiocytoma or protuberant fibroma sarcoma, which should be removed and biopsied. 3. Nodular prurigo: It is prone to occur on the extensor side of the limbs. It is multiple and uniform in size. It will not grow very large. It is itchy but not painful. It is often related to insect bites. The tissue pathology is epidermal wart-like or papillary hyperplasia, and no proliferating collagen fibers and tissue cells are found in the dermis. 4. Skin leiomyoma: It is similar to fibroma, but painful. Histopathological examination shows that the tumor is composed of crisscrossed smooth fiber bundles. The nucleus is centrally located, rod-shaped, with blunt ends, and collagen fibers are often found between muscle fiber bundles. Under HE staining, the two types of fibers are difficult to distinguish, but with Verhoeff-vanGieson staining, collagen fibers appear red, while muscles appear yellow; if stained with Masson trichrome, collagen appears green, while muscles appear dark red. 5. Fibroma also needs to be differentiated from malignant melanoma, nodular xanthoma, and keloid. For diseases like fibroids, patients must have confidence in the treatment. As long as they maintain a positive and optimistic attitude, it will be of great help to their recovery. At the same time, we also hope that everyone will go to a regular hospital for examination and treatment, so that they can be responsible for their own health. |
