How to diagnose fibroids

How to diagnose fibroids

How to diagnose fibroids? If we accidentally get sick, early and timely diagnosis is crucial, because the earlier the diagnosis, the earlier we can intervene in treatment and will not miss the opportunity for treatment. So today we will take a look at how to diagnose fibroids:

Hospital experts usually make a diagnosis based on the results of infrared thermal imaging, B-ultrasound, catheter X-ray, fine needle aspiration cytology, etc.

For example, the use of infrared thermal imagers to diagnose fibroids is a non-invasive examination method; B-ultrasound examination is also a non-invasive examination, and its correct diagnosis rate for fibroids of all stages is higher than that of thermal images; molybdenum target has a high diagnostic consistency rate for fibroids and is a simple, safe and reliable non-invasive examination that can be used as a screening examination for asymptomatic patients or to confirm abnormalities found during physical examinations.

Duct X-ray angiography can clearly show dilated milk ducts, the nature and extent of lesions in cases of nipple discharge, and has great diagnostic value.

In addition, there is also fine needle aspiration cytology examination, which can diagnose tumors and determine the pathological nature of the tumor with an accuracy of 80 to 95 percent and a low false positive rate. It is a more reliable examination method and has been widely used.

Diagnosis of fibroids: It is a relatively common benign tumor of well-differentiated fibrous connective tissue. It is more common in young people, solitary, most of them are millimeters to several centimeters, and painless. It is often discovered accidentally, hard, with clear boundaries, movable, and slow growth. It can occur in subcutaneous tissues of various parts of the body. For example, tumors that grow in the breasts of young women and are mainly glandular are called fibroadenomas, and tumors that grow in muscles with muscle tissue are called fibromyomas. When multiple tumors occur, they are called tumor-like lesions, which are called fibromatosis. For example, congenital systemic fibromatosis is "benign" in morphology, and new lesions appearing on important organs can also lead to death. If they grow in the compressed area of the sacrum, they will grow rapidly, erode, ulcerate, bleed, and become malignant.

Desmoplastic fibroids (ligament-like tumors) that grow on the rectus abdominis of the abdominal wall, neck, trunk, and limbs are more common in women. If not radically removed, they are very likely to recur, but they do not metastasize, so they are called borderline tumors.

It is generally easy to check for fibroids, so if you suspect you have fibroids, don't hesitate and go to the hospital for a diagnosis!
