Speaking of cancer, everyone will feel very scared, because there is no particularly good treatment for cancer so far, and usually cancer is already in the middle or late stages when it is discovered, so chemotherapy is relied on to maintain life. So do you know small cell lung cancer? This is also a common cancer disease. So what are the symptoms of small cell lung cancer? Let me introduce you to this aspect below. 1. Cough: About one-half to two-thirds of patients with small cell lung cancer present with cough as the initial symptom. The cough caused by lung cancer depends on which part of the lung cancer it is. If it is pressing on the large airways, a metallic cough will occur. If it is not and it is just a peripheral lung cancer, the cough is generally similar to that of ordinary pneumonia, but there is one characteristic, which is that most of them will cough up blood. 2. Coughing up blood: One-third to one-half of patients with small cell lung cancer have this symptom, which is mostly occasional blood in the sputum. About one-third of patients have this as the first symptom. The blood coughed up by lung cancer patients usually comes from the bronchi or alveoli, and the coughed up blood does not contain food residues. If it contains food residues, it may be vomiting blood rather than coughing up blood. 3. Chest pain: 1/3-1/5 of patients experience chest pain. Lung cancer pain is generally persistent and lasts for a long time. It is very difficult to disappear after it occurs and will continue to exist. It is characterized by repeated occurrence, persistence, and continuous aggravation. In addition, lung cancer pain has another characteristic compared to ordinary pain. Lung cancer is often accompanied by psychological and even mental changes in patients. In particular, psychological abnormalities occur more frequently. For example, anxiety is very common in lung cancer patients. 4. Chest tightness and shortness of breath: 1/10-1/2 of patients have this symptom, and almost all patients with regionally spread lung cancer have shortness of breath to varying degrees. Normal tissue fluid produced by the lungs and myocardium is returned by the lymph nodes in the middle of the chest. If these lymph nodes are blocked by tumors, these tissue fluids will accumulate in the pericardium to form pericardial effusion or accumulate in the chest cavity to form pleural effusion. Both of the above situations can cause shortness of breath. 5. Fever: Obstructive pneumonia or cancer fever causes fever; when the tumor blocks the bronchus, there is often obstruction of the lung lobe, with varying degrees, from mild to severe. The symptoms may temporarily improve after medication, but will relapse soon. This is a common early symptom of lung cancer. The above is an introduction to the main symptoms of small cell lung cancer. Through the introduction of the above content, I believe everyone has a further understanding. For your health, when you suffer from the disease, you must go to a regular hospital for treatment in time to avoid more harm. |
