What is small cell lung cancer

While diseases make people feel pain, there are also realities that they are unwilling to accept, especially the emergence of small cell lung cancer. We must have a correct understanding of it. It has a fatal impact on patients, so first of all, we must understand what small cell lung cancer is.

Small cell lung cancer is one of the basic types of lung cancer and is an undifferentiated cancer. Its pathological types include oat cell type, intermediate cell type and compound oat cell type. One-third of lung cancer patients belong to this type. Small cell lung cancer is a highly malignant tumor with poor biological behavior and a poor prognosis. Compared with other types of lung cancer with the same spread range, small cell lung cancer has a shorter symptom period before diagnosis and a shorter survival period after diagnosis. Due to its own characteristics, small cell lung cancer has become the most common lung cancer and the lung tumor with the highest mortality rate.

Below I will introduce to you the symptoms of small cell lung cancer:

In the early stages of the disease, the symptoms of small cell lung cancer are not obvious. When common lung cancer symptoms appear, it often indicates that small cell lung cancer is already progressing, which is mainly related to factors such as the location, size, stage, and presence or absence of metastasis of the tumor. Small cell lung cancer progresses rapidly and is more difficult to treat. You should be alert to the symptoms of small cell lung cancer and try to diagnose and treat it as early as possible.

Small cell lung cancer is a highly malignant type of lung cancer, with clinical characteristics of short tumor cell doubling time, rapid progression, and often accompanied by endocrine abnormalities or carcinoid syndrome. Clinically, most patients with small cell lung cancer are already in the advanced stage when diagnosed.

It is also very important for patients with small cell lung cancer to have a reasonable and scientific diet. They should eat more high-protein, high-fiber foods such as milk, eggs, fish, meat, poultry, and soy products; high-fiber foods such as animal liver, carrots, tomatoes, lemons, fruits, etc., especially those with anti-cancer effects such as carrots, shiitake mushrooms, fungus, beans, ergot, day lily, asparagus, and turtle.
