How does TCM treat brain tumors? As we all know, the brain is very important to us. Compared with diseases in other parts of the body, brain tumors seem to be more threatening to life and make patients more fearful and desperate. In fact, most brain tumors can be treated and are not as terrible as we think. Let's take a look at how TCM treats brain tumors. The pathogenesis of brain tumors can be summarized as follows: weak internal organs, pathogenic factors invade the body. Specifically, weakness may be yin deficiency or yang deficiency. The differentiation of internal organs usually starts from the kidney, liver, and spleen. Most of the pathogenesis should be deficiency in the root and excess in the superficial. The specific classification and treatment are as follows: Liver wind: Characterized by occasional convulsions, slurred speech, numbness of limbs, crooked mouth and tongue, blurred vision, red tongue, thin fur, and stringy pulse. The prescription of choice is Zhengan Xifeng Decoction or Tianma Gou Teng Yin. Liver and gallbladder heat: characterized by violent vomiting, projectile vomiting, dizziness and severe headache, or accompanied by fever, irritability, dry stool, yellow urine, red tongue, yellow fur, and stringy pulse. The prescription of choice is Longdan Xiegan Decoction. Spleen and kidney yang deficiency: dizziness, headache, sore waist and knees, fear of cold, fatigue, poor appetite, diarrhea, pale tongue, white fur, deep, thin and weak pulse; the prescription is Yougui Pills combined with Fuzi Lizhong Pills; Liver and kidney yin deficiency: dizziness, tinnitus, dry eyes, blurred vision, insomnia, forgetfulness, dry stool, scanty urine, red tongue with little coating, thin or stringy pulse. The prescription is Qiju Dihuang Wan combined with Yiguanjian. Blood stasis: The headache is intermittent, the pain is fixed, mainly stabbing, the complexion is dark, the tongue is dark purple, and the pulse is stringy. The prescription is Buyang Huanwu Decoction. Phlegm and turbidity attack: dizziness, headache, numbness of limbs, hemiplegia, stiff tongue and slurred speech, chest tightness due to excessive phlegm, or poor appetite, spitting sputum, obesity, pale or pale tongue, greasy white tongue coating, slippery or moist or stringy pulse. The prescription is Di Tan Tang. Pay attention to syndrome differentiation here. Phlegm and turbidity are easy to transform into phlegm heat and wind phlegm. The medication can be adjusted appropriately. Moreover, if there is phlegm, there must be dampness, and if there is dampness, there must be yin evil hidden inside. It can be determined that Yang Qi is originally deficient, so the treatment should focus on warming Yang. The diagnosis and treatment of brain tumors focuses on distinguishing yin and yang, cold and heat, deficiency and excess. The above syndromes can be formed alone or in combination. In addition, the brain is the palace of the top of the head and is located high. Most doctors believe that brain tumors are often caused by wind evil factors. The appropriate use of wind medicine may play a role in expelling evil and carrying medicine upward. Chinese medicine can be used as an auxiliary treatment after surgery for brain tumors, and can also be used in conjunction with radiotherapy and chemotherapy. |
