Tongue cancer is a common malignant tumor in the oral and maxillofacial region, which occurs more frequently in males than in females. Most cases are squamous cell carcinomas, especially in the anterior 2/3 of the tongue. Adenocarcinomas are relatively rare and are mostly located at the root of the tongue. Lymphoepithelioma and undifferentiated carcinomas may also occur at the root of the tongue.

The clinical manifestations are: 1. Tumors mostly occur at the edge of the tongue, followed by the tip, back and belly of the tongue. There may be a history of local white spots or chronic numbness and pain. It is often ulcerative or infiltrative, grows fast, is painful and highly infiltrative. 3. There may be limited tongue movement, difficulty eating and swallowing. Cervical lymph node metastasis often occurs in the early stage. From the clinical manifestations, the early symptoms of tongue cancer are redness, swelling, white spots, papilloma and long-term pain. Therefore, when you encounter symptoms of tongue pain, you must be alert to whether you have tongue cancer. You must detect the disease early, diagnose it early and treat it early, and be responsible for your own health and safety.

The occurrence of tongue cancer is often closely related to our living habits. Therefore, we should pay attention to reasonable nutrition in daily life, diversify our food as much as possible, eat more high-protein, multi-vitamin, low-animal fat, easily digestible food and fresh fruits and vegetables, do not eat stale, spoiled or irritating foods, eat less smoked, grilled, pickled, fried, and overly salty foods, and match coarse and fine grains with staple foods to ensure nutritional balance.
