Will glioma patients die?

Will glioma patients die?

Will glioma patients die? This is a question that most patients and their families are concerned about. Because glioma has a high mortality rate, is difficult to cure and is prone to recurrence, many patients regard it as an incurable disease. In fact, it is not. If the treatment method is appropriate and active prevention is taken after surgery, it is very likely to be cured.

1. Patients can choose surgical treatment, which can not only provide a final pathological diagnosis, but also quickly remove most of the tumor cells, relieve the patient's symptoms, and facilitate other treatments in the next step. For some low-grade gliomas, complete surgical resection can enable patients to be cured and survive for a long time.

2. After surgical treatment, patients with high-grade gliomas often need further radiotherapy. For patients with low-grade gliomas, if there are high-risk factors (such as tumor volume exceeding 6 cm, incomplete surgical resection, etc.), radiotherapy should also be considered.

3. Patients must go to a large hospital for regular treatment and a comprehensive examination. Early update and early treatment chemotherapy and targeted therapy are gradually playing an important role in the treatment of gliomas. For some high-grade gliomas, the use of temozolomide can significantly prolong the patient's survival prognosis.

4. Notes: Patients should mainly eat spicy food, and should eat more foods that supplement the body's protein, such as milk, lean meat, pig's trotters, sea cucumbers, fish, animal liver, red dates, walnuts, black fungus, etc.

If patients pay attention to the above suggestions, then glioma will be cured. So it does not mean that you will die if you have glioma. I hope patients can treat it positively and work hard to overcome the disease.
