Is tongue cancer prone to recurrence after treatment?

In real life, many people who pay attention to maintenance are actively learning about diseases, but many people are not clear about tongue cancer. They use the common sense they have mastered and are worried about the recurrence after treatment. So let us understand whether tongue cancer is easy to recur after treatment?

Tongue cancer is a neoplasm formed when a cell in a local tissue loses normal regulation of its growth at the genetic level under the action of various carcinogenic factors, resulting in its clonal abnormal proliferation. Tumors are generally divided into two categories: benign and malignant. All malignant tumors are collectively called cancer. Tumor tissues have different degrees of differences from the normal tissues from which they originate in terms of cell morphology and tissue structure. This difference is called atypia. Atypia is the morphological manifestation of abnormal differentiation of tumors. Small atypia indicates a high degree of differentiation, and large atypia indicates a low degree of differentiation. Distinguishing the size of this atypia is the main histological basis for diagnosing tumors and determining whether they are benign or malignant. The atypia of benign tumor cells is not obvious and is generally similar to their source tissue. Malignant tumors often have obvious atypia. Malignant tumors with invasive growth can not only grow and spread at the primary site (direct spread), but also spread to other parts of the body (metastasis) through various pathways.

Therefore, to improve the long-term efficacy of tongue cancer, early detection, early diagnosis, early treatment and regular follow-up are necessary. If surgery is possible, surgery should be performed as soon as possible. The effect of auxiliary treatment with Chinese medicine is better. For example, auxiliary treatment with ginsenoside Rh2 (life-protecting factor) with a content of more than 16% can improve the success rate of surgery, control the progression of the disease, eliminate residual cancer cells after surgery, improve people's immunity, increase appetite, improve sleep, and improve the quality of life.

After surgery, tongue cancer patients may have a high chance of recurrence, so even during the recovery period, we should prevent recurrence and metastasis. This can directly inhibit the formation of new blood vessels and lymphatic vessels in the tumor, increase the activity of T lymphocytes and immune cells, improve the body's immunity, and reduce the possibility of recurrence of liver cancer after surgery. At the same time, we also need to pay more attention to diet, eat more fresh food, high protein and high nutrients, eat fresh vegetables, eggs, steamed fish, avoid fried, deep-fried, high-fat foods, and avoid eating red dates, longan, white fungus and other supplements that are easy to cause abdominal distension. This will also help patients recover better.
