Why do I have cold feet due to low blood calcium?

It is not uncommon for patients with hypocalcemia to show symptoms of cold feet. In fact, this is also a common symptom of hypocalcemia. It is recommended that patients with hypocalcemia should get more sun exposure to promote calcium absorption if they want to effectively improve the condition. It is also recommended to take more vitamins.

1. Hypocalcemia refers to the symptom that the serum ion calcium concentration is lower than the normal level. Since only the calcium concentration is tested clinically, a low calcium concentration is generally called hypocalcemia. Patients with hypocalcemia often have symptoms such as uncoordinated gait, general weakness, headache, etc., which can easily induce cramps in the hands and feet, epilepsy, rickets, and in severe cases, may induce arrhythmia. Patients with hypocalcemia should eat more foods high in calcium, eat more fruits, and get more sun exposure to promote calcium absorption.

2. It is recommended to get up early in the morning and do some exercise. Brisk walking is the best choice. Walk forward at a speed faster than walking but slower than running, and swing your hands. Walk for 30 minutes to promote blood circulation. Your whole body will feel warm because your blood circulation and metabolism are accelerated early in the morning. You will be full of energy all day and will not easily feel cold. You can also try simple stair climbing and jumping on the spot for 20 minutes until you sweat a little. These will help enhance your body's ability to regulate temperature. After working for 40 minutes, it is best to stand up and walk or step on the floor. Moving your fingers and toes from time to time while working can help blood circulation.

3. Supplement more vitamin E. Vitamin E can dilate peripheral blood vessels and is very helpful for smooth peripheral blood circulation. However, the effect of vitamin E is slow and it takes 3 months to be effective. In addition, 210-250 IU must be taken every day to be sufficient.

4. Among the daily foods in the family, those that contain more calcium include milk, cheese, eggs, soy products, kelp, seaweed, dried shrimps, sesame, hawthorn, sea fish, vegetables, etc., especially milk. Every 100 grams of fresh milk contains 120 mg of calcium. If each person drinks 250 grams of milk a day, it can provide 300 mg of calcium; drinking 500 grams of milk a day can provide 600 mg of calcium; plus about 300 mg of calcium provided by other foods in the diet, it can fully meet the body's need for calcium. It is worth noting that when eating these calcium-rich foods, you should avoid eating too much phosphate, oxalic acid, and protein-rich foods to avoid affecting calcium absorption. Supplement calcium.
