How to check if you have testicular cancer at the hospital

Testicular cancer seriously affects the patient's life and work status. Many men's lives are seriously affected by testicular cancer, which also causes disharmony in the relationship between husband and wife. In fact, testicular cancer can be treated. Patients need to go to the hospital for examination and active treatment after the disease is discovered in the early stage. So how to check testicular cancer in the hospital?

1. Tumor marker determination: Tumor markers are antigens and other biologically active substances generated by tumor cells during the process of carcinogenesis due to the expression of oncogenes. They can be detected in the body fluids and excretions of tumor patients, but not or very little in normal tissues or benign diseases. Tumor markers can be used as indicators to observe the efficacy of the treatment. If they drop rapidly after surgery, chemotherapy, or radiotherapy, the prognosis is good. If they drop slowly or do not drop, there may be residual tumors. Therefore, once a testicular tumor is clinically diagnosed, orchiectomy should be performed immediately without waiting for the results of tumor markers. 2. Ultrasound: B-ultrasound examination can accurately distinguish the size and shape of the testicles, whether there are lumps, and whether the swollen testicles are caused by inflammation, tissue edema, or tumors. It can also detect whether there are metastatic tumors behind the peritoneum. It can be used to determine whether there are metastatic lymph nodes in the testicles and other conditions.

3. Biopsy: A biopsy is the only way to confirm the presence of cancer. In most cases, when a biopsy is performed, the doctor makes an incision in the groin and removes the entire affected testicle. This method is called a radical inguinal orchiectomy.

What examinations should be done for testicular cancer? The expert has introduced them to us in detail above. Warm reminder: testicular cancer is extremely harmful. Male friends must not ignore the health problems of the testicles. Once a lesion occurs, go to a regular hospital for diagnosis and treatment in time, and do not let the disease worsen and bring yourself more pain.
