What are the methods for diagnosing testicular cancer

Testicular cancer, as the name implies, occurs in the male testicles, so testicular cancer has a certain impact on male fertility. The early symptoms of testicular cancer are not particularly obvious, and it is generally difficult to diagnose in time, which can easily cause patients to miss the best time for treatment. Therefore, timely diagnosis of testicular cancer is very important, so what are the methods for diagnosing testicular cancer? Today, I will introduce to you the diagnostic methods of testicular cancer.

Testicular cancer can usually be diagnosed by examining the following features:

1. Gynecomastia

Unexplained breast enlargement may also be caused by testicular tumors. For example, tumors such as embryonal carcinoma, choriocarcinoma, and teratoma produce a large amount of gonadotropin. The increase of these hormones in the body can stimulate breast enlargement.

2. Acute testicular pain

One day, the affected testicle suddenly felt severe pain, as if it were testicular torsion. It turned out to be caused by sudden bleeding, embolism and ischemic necrosis of the testicular tumor tissue.

3. Testicular heaviness

Since testicular tumors are formed by the massive growth of tumor cells, they are substantial masses. When they grow to a certain size, the weight of the testicles increases suddenly, and the patient will feel heavy and fall, which may even affect walking. If you hold up the testicles with your hands, it feels like holding up a stone, with a certain sense of weight.

4. Hard testicles

It feels like a rock and is very hard, which is significantly different from common testicular inflammation, in which the testicles are evenly swollen and not hard in texture.

5. Testicular enlargement

This kind of swelling is mostly found accidentally when taking a bath or changing clothes, or when the scrotum is slightly injured by some kind of impact and is discovered when touching the part. Most testicular swelling is not accompanied by pain, and there is no pain when pressing on the part. Occasionally, there may be dull pain, but there is always a feeling of heaviness and swelling in the scrotum.
