What are the symptoms of thyroid cancer

What are the symptoms of thyroid cancer? If you don't understand the symptoms, you often can't make a correct judgment about the disease, so there is no way to pay attention to it and treat it. If the treatment time is delayed, the condition will become more serious. So what are the symptoms of thyroid cancer?

Symptom 1: Local compression symptoms: Thyroid cancer can compress the recurrent laryngeal nerve if it continues to swell, causing hoarseness, dysphagia and weight loss if it invades the esophagus, and dyspnea, hemoptysis and chest discomfort if it invades or compresses the trachea. Therefore, local compression symptoms are one of the symptoms of thyroid cancer.

Symptom 2: Local metastasis symptoms: Local metastasis symptoms are also important symptoms of thyroid cancer. In the late stage of thyroid cancer, local metastasis often appears as hard and fixed lymph nodes in the neck. The probability of cervical lymph node metastasis and enlargement in clinical papillary cancer and medullary cancer is relatively high, which requires attention.

Symptom 3: Associated symptoms: Symptoms of thyroid cancer also include some associated symptoms. Patients with medullary carcinoma may also have pheochromocytoma and parathyroid hyperplasia or tumors, and clinically they may experience symptoms such as diarrhea, palpitations, facial flushing, and hypocalcemia.

Symptom 4: Distant metastasis symptoms: The rate of thyroid cancer metastasis can reach 50% to 90%, and the rate of cervical lymph node metastasis is 65%. Distant metastasis of thyroid cancer is more common in the lungs, skull, vertebrae and pelvis. Therefore, distant metastasis symptoms are also symptoms of thyroid cancer.

One thing that needs to be pointed out is that the symptoms of thyroid cancer are a very important basis for diagnosing thyroid cancer. Of course, the symptoms of thyroid cancer are also relatively typical. In addition, among the several types of thyroid cancer, breast cancer is the most common, which is a well-differentiated thyroid cancer.
