What should be paid attention to in nursing care for ovarian tumor resection

Ovarian tumor is one of the common tumors of female reproductive organs. Ovarian tumor deaths account for the first place among all kinds of gynecological tumors, which poses a serious threat to women's life and health. Therefore, targeted care is implemented for the psychological condition of ovarian tumor patients, preoperative, postoperative and chemotherapy medication, and complications are closely observed and cared for.

It has obvious effects. Combined with the improvement of medical methods, the mortality rate caused by complications can be significantly reduced. Therefore, professional and meticulous care can prevent complications, improve medical effects, strengthen the quality of care, and also improve the patient's quality of survival and quality of life.

1. Psychological care for ovarian tumors

1. To establish a good nurse-patient relationship, you should actively approach the patient, be attentive, patient and caring. Correctly answer the patient's questions and explain more successful chemotherapy cases. Comfort the patient with sincere and kind words, perform nursing operations gently, meticulously, accurately and orderly to make the patient feel safe, and use your skilled techniques to gain the patient's trust to eliminate the patient's fear.

2. Have a high degree of sympathy and responsibility for patients. Feel the pain of patients and think about what patients think. Enter the patient's heart and communicate with the patient. In addition to being the main supporter, nursing staff should also actively encourage their family members, relatives, friends, colleagues, and leaders to comfort and care for them frequently, help and take care of them in life, so that patients can feel the love from all sides and the value of their existence, inspire confidence in life, eliminate loneliness, and build confidence in overcoming the disease.

3. Use examples of similar patients who are currently having a successful work and life to make the patients feel that they are still useful people. Encourage patients to build up confidence in overcoming the disease and meet the challenges of a new life.

4. Patient care: Take the initiative to talk with patients, show concern and love, encourage and enlighten patients, try to improve patients' confidence in overcoming the disease, fully mobilize all positive factors of patients' families and relatives, and require them to cooperate and assist medical staff. Visit and comfort patients more often during visiting hours, show more care and consideration for patients than in the past, so that patients do not feel lonely and still live in happiness and warmth, turn other people's care into their own motivation, thereby tapping their own potential and resisting diseases.

2. Nursing of ovarian tumor surgery

1. Preoperative care

1) Psychological care: First of all, we need to communicate with the patients, let them understand the surgical process, answer their questions and concerns, let them relax, divert their attention, eliminate the psychological factors of tension, psychologically create a sense of security and trust in medical staff, and build confidence in overcoming the disease.

2) Patient preparation: Before surgery, patients with advanced ovarian tumors are given appropriate rest instructions based on their different conditions, pay attention to temperature, and are guided to eat a high-calorie, high-vitamin, high-protein, and low-fat diet. They are required to fast and drink water for 6 to 8 hours before surgery, and are given skin preparation and intestinal preparation.

2. Postoperative care

1) Body position of patients after surgery for advanced ovarian tumors: When the operation is just over and the anesthetic effect has not completely disappeared, the patient should lie in the supine position. After fully waking up from the anesthesia, the patient should be in a semi-recumbent position as early as possible. The advantage of the semi-recumbent position is that it relaxes the abdominal wall, which can reduce the pain of the abdominal wall incision, and facilitates deep breathing exercises, making it easier to cough up lung secretions. In addition, the body position should be changed frequently to prevent the occurrence of bedsores.

2) Postoperative psychological care for patients with advanced ovarian tumors: Postoperative wound pain, forced posture vomiting and other reasons can cause emotional changes in patients, and patients are prone to anxiety and irritability. Nursing staff should observe the changes in patients' emotions, expressions, and behaviors in a purposeful, planned, and step-by-step manner, understand the patients' psychological reactions in a timely manner, and provide corresponding psychological care.

3) Water, electrolytes and nutrition: After radical surgery for advanced ovarian tumors, patients should be given adequate and appropriate fluid replacement before intestinal motility is restored. Patients can take a small amount of liquid food and avoid sweets. Eating can be encouraged after intestinal motility is restored. The diet after surgery should be light, high in protein, high in calories and low in fat. Potassium and sodium should be supplemented appropriately and infused to prevent electrolyte disorders.

4) Early activity: After surgery, patients should be encouraged to get up and move around early to promote the recovery of intestinal motility, reduce abdominal distension, and reduce complications such as lung infection, thrombosis, and bedsores.
