Will soft tissue melanoma run in the family?

Melanoma is a malignant tumor originating from melanocytes in the pigmented areas of the skin, mucous membranes, eyes and central nervous system. It is a common skin tumor caused by excessive proliferation of abnormal melanocytes. It is highly malignant and accounts for the vast majority of deaths from skin tumors. Will soft tissue melanoma run in families?

No tumor is necessarily hereditary. The so-called hereditary means that if there is a history of tumor in the family, then the chance of getting the tumor may be higher than that of other people. You should pay more attention to related things. At present, the incidence of melanoma is relatively low in clinical practice, but the malignancy is relatively high. If the patient is not treated as soon as possible, the mortality rate is high. It usually manifests as a dark pigmented nodule that gradually increases, surrounded by a red halo. Early detection, early diagnosis, and early treatment are the key factors that determine whether it can be cured.

The occurrence of this disease is mostly due to the patient's mole being repeatedly rubbed by the outside world, or caused by scratches. Improper excavation and drug corrosion can transform benign melanocytic nevus into malignant melanoma. This means that benign nevus is the biggest cause of malignant melanoma.

However, malignant melanoma is the same as other cancers. It has hereditary factors but is not contagious. If there are family members with a history of melanoma, you should pay more attention, observe more often, and have regular physical examinations to prevent melanoma and try to eliminate it in the bud. Once an abnormality is found, it should be diagnosed immediately.

It is recommended that patients should go to a regular medical institution for treatment as soon as possible if they experience persistent pain, so as not to miss the best time for treatment. In addition, patients should eat a light diet.
