What are some tips for preventing melanoma

Melanoma is a common disease, but many people have never heard of it. Many children will have it on their waists, which has a great impact. We need to pay attention to prevention in our lives. So, what is the prevention of melanoma?

1. Paying attention to whether moles have malignant changes at any time is one of the ways to prevent melanoma.

Once a mole has become malignant, it must be treated in time. Patients with melanoma should be alert to the following information: the mole becomes larger, the pigment becomes darker or lighter; the mole spreads radially to the surrounding area; the mole is painful or uncomfortable for no reason, and there is a small amount of exudate on the surface; the lymph nodes in the mole area are swollen, and the blue-black color can be vaguely seen. This is also a preventive measure for malignant melanoma.

2. Pigmented nevi that occur in areas prone to friction should be treated in a scientific manner as early as possible. Pigmented nevi that are prone to friction should be biopsied for pathological examination. They should be completely removed as soon as possible to prevent the occurrence of malignant melanoma. For example, if a child has a large hairy nevus on the waist, the main part of the nevus can be removed as much as possible in the middle before it becomes malignant, and the two sides can be sutured. After the surrounding skin of the melanoma patient is loosened, the remaining part can be removed until the nevus is completely removed. Each specimen removed must be sent for pathological examination. If there is malignant transformation, it should be completely removed and skin grafting should be performed.

3. Since ultraviolet radiation is closely related to the incidence of melanoma, how to prevent melanoma also requires wearing a hat, sunglasses, umbrella, and sunscreen in summer. Try to walk under the shade of trees or buildings when going out. When traveling, do your homework in advance and bring sunscreen and sun protection tools. Especially for the elderly, don't think that it doesn't matter if your skin is tanned. This is wrong. This is not a question of beauty, but a health issue.
