Treatment of metastatic lymphoma

Treatment of metastatic lymphoma

Lymphoma is considered to be "the disease that is best at disguising itself". Lymphoma can be divided into primary lymphoma and metastatic lymphoma. If it is lymphoma of gastric cancer, the patient will have stomach pain, loss of appetite, and swollen lymph nodes. When lymphoma invades the skin system, it is easy to misdiagnose it as eczema or dermatitis; if lymphoma invades the cranial system, the patient will have symptoms of paroxysmal headaches or even splitting headaches, and even varying degrees of blurred vision. Patients with bone metastasis are prone to fractures. How to treat metastatic lymphoma?

The symptoms of lymph node metastasis vary depending on where the cancer has metastasized to. For example, if the cancer has metastasized to the mediastinal lymph nodes, the patient may have hiccups and difficulty swallowing because of compression of the esophagus. If the patient has superior vena cava metastasis, there will be varying degrees of superior vena cava syndrome with varying symptoms.

It is recommended that patients with metastatic lymphoma go to a regular tertiary hospital or a cancer hospital for a routine blood test, CT scan, B-ultrasound, etc. They also need to check if they have any other symptoms of metastasis to other parts of the body in addition to the symptoms of swollen lymph nodes. A scientific diagnosis is needed.

Patients with lymph node metastasis can consider tumor biological therapy, which is less toxic than radiotherapy and chemotherapy, and can use a radioactive particle implantation therapy. At the same time, patients can take Chinese medicine for treatment. Don't avoid treatment just because of metastasis.

Note:

Patients with metastatic lymphoma should not do strenuous exercise and should not eat irritating foods. When the lymphoma compresses the patient's trachea and causes symptoms of coughing, chest tightness and difficulty breathing, the patient needs to drink more water and eat fruits.
