Survival rate of postoperative cardiac cancer and gastric cancer

Survival rate of patients with cardia cancer and gastric cancer. Experts emphasize that cardia cancer and gastric cancer are adenocarcinomas that occur in the gastric cardia, that is, within a range of about 50px below the esophageal-gastric junction. It is a special type of gastric cancer and should be distinguished from lower esophageal cancer. However, it is different from gastric cancer in other parts of the body. It has its own anatomical and histological characteristics and clinical manifestations, and the survival rate of cardia cancer and gastric cancer varies depending on the treatment effect and the patient's physical function. According to the specific situation of patients with advanced cardia cancer and gastric cancer, a scientific, effective and reasonable treatment plan should be selected. At the same time, patients should adjust their physical functions, maintain an optimistic attitude, and actively cooperate with treatment, which can prolong the survival period, that is, there is a good trend in how long cardia cancer and gastric cancer can live. However, according to clinical statistics: the 5-year survival rate of patients with advanced tumors treated with traditional Chinese medicine and conservative treatment can reach more than 85%. This is a number that patients with advanced cardia cancer and gastric cancer must pay attention to.

[For patients with early-stage gastric cancer]: It mainly depends on whether appropriate treatment is taken in time. Generally speaking, early-stage gastric cancer tumors are small and have not spread or metastasized. The most effective treatment is surgical resection. The 5-year survival rate after resection of early-stage gastric cancer can reach 60% to 90%. After surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, traditional Chinese medicine and other treatments can be used within a certain period of time to prevent recurrence.

[For patients with mid- to late-stage cardiac cancer and gastric cancer]: It mainly depends on whether the treatment method is appropriate and the patient's physical condition. The treatment methods for mid- to late-stage cardiac cancer and gastric cancer mainly include radiotherapy, chemotherapy and traditional Chinese medicine. Seventy percent of patients with mid- to late-stage cardiac cancer and gastric cancer have their symptoms alleviated after radiotherapy. External radiotherapy with different doses and fractions can relieve local symptoms of primary or metastatic lesions, but because radiotherapy can also cause damage to normal cells, radiotherapy should be used with caution for patients with mid- to late-stage cardiac cancer and gastric cancer who have very weak physical functions.

In view of the toxic side effects of chemotherapy and radiotherapy on the human body, Chinese medicine can be combined with treatment in the treatment of advanced gastric cardia cancer to enhance efficacy and reduce toxicity. For patients with advanced gastric cardia cancer who have a wide range of metastasis, weak physical function, and are unable to tolerate chemotherapy, Chinese medicine can be used for conservative treatment. Although the short-term effect is not as obvious as chemotherapy, the long-term effect is good and has obvious effects in improving the quality of life and prolonging survival.

1. Distension or slight pain behind the sternum. This symptom does not occur continuously, but is intermittent or aggravated after fatigue or rapid eating.

2. Foreign body sensation when swallowing food. During swallowing, food (especially dry and hard food) may feel like a foreign body when it passes through the lesion area (the lesion is very small), and it is often fixed in one place. Some patients describe it as a feeling of something that they can never finish swallowing. Because the symptoms are mild and occur intermittently, it is easy for patients to ignore it.

3. Swallowing stagnation or frustration, that is, the patient seems to have a temporary stagnation or frustration in a certain part when swallowing food. This situation is not continuous and only becomes gradually obvious after the disease develops.

4. Chest tightness or constriction, often accompanied by a dry throat. The patient complains of a stuffy feeling in the chest, as if there is an object blocking it, which makes the chest feel tight, especially when swallowing food, but does not affect normal life and work.

5. Fullness and slight pain in the pit of the stomach, under the xiphoid process or in the upper abdomen, which is more obvious when eating dry food, but it does not happen every time and is intermittent. This situation is often an early symptom of cardiac cancer and gastric cancer.
