Is liver cancer in the late stage and metastasis to both lungs contagious?

We all know that liver diseases such as hepatitis A and B are contagious, so some people ask whether patients with advanced liver cancer are contagious? At present, advanced liver cancer is not contagious. However, if advanced liver cancer is transformed from viral hepatitis, then patients with advanced liver cancer will be contagious. Therefore, we need to carefully distinguish whether it is liver cancer or hepatitis. This is crucial to whether it is contagious.

No matter what kind of cancer it is, when it reaches the late stage, it will metastasize to other organs and cause the organ's function failure and gradually lead to death. Liver cancer is no exception. However, before the late stage of liver cancer metastasizes to other adjacent organs, life is already in danger. This is mainly because more than 85% of liver cancers originate in the liver based on cirrhosis. In the late stage of liver cancer, not only has it invaded normal liver cells, causing the original liver function of cirrhosis to fail, such as jaundice, ascites, and hepatic encephalopathy, but also certain fatal complications will occur. If the esophageal varicose veins rupture and bleed, it will cause liver failure and death.
The condition of patients in the late stage of liver cancer is very miserable, but if the patient is a carrier of hepatitis B virus, the infection rate of the virus is not higher than that of chronic hepatitis with other courses. However, at this time, the positive incidence of surface antigen is lower than that of liver disease with other courses.
From this, we can easily conclude that liver cancer in the late stage is not contagious. However, if liver cancer is transformed from hepatitis, then it is very likely to be contagious. Therefore, we need to distinguish them. To determine whether it is contagious or not, we should first find out whether it is caused by hepatitis. If it is just liver cancer, then you don’t have to worry. In addition, liver cancer patients are under great psychological pressure. Giving them more care can effectively relieve their psychological pressure.
