Does proper exercise help ovarian cancer patients recover?

Everyone knows that ovarian cancer is a common malignant tumor in women. Ovarian cancer is not easy to detect under normal circumstances, but the number of deaths from ovarian cancer has been increasing in recent years. The true cause of ovarian cancer is not very clear at present, but according to research, it has a lot to do with age, fertility, blood type, mental factors and environment.

Moderate physical activity may help lower a woman's risk of ovarian cancer, new research suggests, supporting the theory that adopting a healthy lifestyle can prevent the development of tumors in women.

Since regular exercise has many health benefits, regular and moderate exercise has far-reaching significance for the comprehensive prevention of chronic diseases.

Researchers from the Public Health Agency of Canada conducted a questionnaire survey on 442 women with ovarian cancer and 2,135 women with similar conditions but without ovarian cancer.

The results showed that women who had the highest levels of physical activity had a significantly reduced risk of ovarian cancer. Women with the highest levels of moderate physical activity had a 33 percent lower risk of ovarian cancer, while women with the highest levels of total physical activity had a 27 percent lower risk.

The study reported that the risk of ovarian cancer in premenopausal and postmenopausal women is basically the same. However, vigorous exercise does not have this protective effect. A possible explanation is that the enhancement of the immune and antioxidant systems can reduce the risk of obesity, while high-intensity exercise can suppress the immune system.

The researchers concluded that although ovarian cancer has a poor prognosis, physical activity is a modifiable lifestyle factor. Because regular exercise has many health benefits, regular and moderate exercise has far-reaching significance for the comprehensive prevention of chronic diseases.

Therefore, it is very beneficial for female friends to go to the gym or park to exercise more after work. While preventing ovarian cancer, it also enhances personal physical fitness. Why not do it?
