TCM treatment of kidney cancer

Treatment method 1: Nourish yin, clear heat and cool blood.

Symptoms of kidney yin deficiency: short, red urine with blood, hot flashes and night sweats, dry mouth and throat, soreness of waist and knees, low back pain and abdominal lumps, red tongue, and thin and rapid pulse.

Prescription: Zhibai Dihuang Decoction with added ingredients. 10g each of Anemarrhena, Chinese Yam, Cortex Moutan, Rhizoma Alismatis, Herba Ecliptae, 30g each of Radix Rehmanniae, Cirsium, Cirsium, and Radix Platycladus orientalis, 5g each of Phellodendron, Fructus Corni, 15g each of Xueyutan and Lotus Root.

Treatment method two: Strengthen the spleen and kidneys, soften and disperse lumps.

Symptoms of spleen and kidney deficiency: low back pain and abdominal distension, hematuria or lumps in the waist and abdomen, poor appetite, nausea, vomiting, weight loss, weakness and anemia, pale tongue, thin white tongue coating, deep, thready and weak or feeble pulse.

Prescription: Siwu Decoction combined with Youguiyin with modifications. 10g each of Atractylodes macrocephala, Codonopsis pilosula, Astragalus membranaceus, Eucommia ulmoides, Psoralea corylifolia, 12g each of Angelica sinensis, Tangerine peel, Palm charcoal, Red peony root, 30g each of Verbena officinalis, Hedyotis diffusa, Dianthus superbus, Herba Coix seeds, 15g of Polygonatum sibiricum, and 15g of Cornus officinalis.

Treatment method three: clear away heat and dampness, detoxify and remove blood stasis.

Symptoms of damp-heat accumulation in the kidney: low back pain, distension and discomfort, hematuria, low-grade fever, heaviness and fatigue, poor appetite, lumps in the waist and abdomen, greasy white tongue coating with yellowish color, fat tongue, and slippery and rapid pulse.

Prescription: Bazheng powder with modifications. 10g each of Akebia, Rhubarb, Gardenia, Atractylodes, Talc, Polygonum multiflorum, Verbena, Hedyotis diffusa, Dianthus superbus, Herba Coix, 30g each, Plantago, Paeonia lactiflora, 5g each, Juncus effusus. For those with excessive heat, add Phellodendron and Gentiana 10g each.
