What to do if you have uterine cancer

What to do if you have uterine cancer

Since uterine cancer has almost no symptoms in the early stages, it is easy to be ignored and not detected until the disease becomes serious. At this time, it is mostly in the middle or late stage and treatment is relatively difficult. Therefore, uterine cancer needs to be detected and treated early.

Uterine cancer is generally treated through surgery. After the operation, the patient may face a series of psychological problems. For example, many patients think that uterine cancer is a cancer and an incurable disease. Therefore, even after surgical treatment, the patient will feel panic, sadness and even despair. At this time, psychological counseling for the patient is also essential.

The treatment of uterine cancer needs to distinguish the type of disease and treat it according to different types of uterine cancer. If it is carcinoma in situ of uterine cancer, it is usually recommended to perform a total hysterectomy. For early invasive uterine cancer, the treatment should also include extended hysterectomy, and the range of resection can even extend to the vagina.

In the treatment of invasive uterine cancer, the disease needs to be staged and targeted treatment measures should be adopted according to the stage of the disease. In addition, many treatment methods such as radiotherapy, chemotherapy and surgery should be adopted in combination with the patient's age and basic physical condition. The treatment for uterine cancer stages Ib and IIa is mostly surgical treatment.
