Pathology after skin cancer removal surgery

Pathology after skin cancer removal surgery

Skin cancer is indeed a very scary malignant tumor disease. Although the incidence of such a disease is not high in life, we should also know more about the basic knowledge of skin cancer, especially the classification of skin cancer, because only by treating the disease symptomatically according to the type can it be beneficial to the recovery of the disease. What are the pathologies after skin cancer removal surgery?

(I) Carcinoma in situ

Superficial squamous cell carcinoma in situ of the skin, with intact basement membrane, thickened epidermis, atypical cells with disordered placement, unclear layers, hyperkeratosis and parakeratosis on the surface, and significant hypertrophy of prickle cells. The cells in the entire layer are enlarged and atypical, with different nuclear sizes, various shapes, and uneven staining. In addition, large epithelial cells rich in giant nuclei are called giant tumor cells, or multinucleated giant cells with multiple nuclei gathered together, and occasionally cancer pearls are seen.

(ii) Extramammary Paget's disease

Paget cells are believed to originate from the apocrine sweat glands in the epidermis. They are large, round or oval in shape, with abundant and translucent cytoplasm and large and darkly stained nuclei. Cancer cells nourish the epidermis between the bottom layer and the bottom layer membrane, gather into nests, and occasionally arrange into glandular structures.

By reading the article, we understand the pathological classification of skin cancer. Understanding these pathological classifications will hopefully help people view skin cancer correctly in the future. When they have the disease, they must take symptomatic treatment according to the type of disease they suffer from. We also hope that people can do a good job of preventing skin cancer in their lives.
