Is prostate cancer dangerous?

Prostate cancer is a relatively special disease, and its harm is very great. According to clinical statistics, about 70% of men in the country have latent symptoms of prostate cancer. Therefore, timely prevention must be carried out in this regard, especially for middle-aged and elderly men. So is the harm of prostate cancer serious? Prostate cancer brings great harm to patients.

1. Systemic damage: Since cancer pain will affect the patient's diet, sleep and spirit, the patient's overall condition will become increasingly weak in the long run, showing emaciation and fatigue, and then a series of damaging symptoms such as anemia, cachexia or renal failure will occur.

2. Urinary dysfunction: Urinary dysfunction is one of the most common symptoms of prostate cancer. About 80% of patients will experience progressive urination difficulties, thinning or deviated urine flow, bifurcated urine flow, prolonged urination, frequent urination, urgent urination, painful urination, and a feeling of incomplete urination due to the cancer. In severe cases, urine dripping and urine retention may occur. Only 3% of patients have hematuria.

3. Metastasis symptoms: Many tumors will metastasize in the late stage, and prostate cancer is no exception. About 1/3 or even 2/3 of prostate cancer patients have lymph node metastasis when they first see a doctor, mostly in the iliac, iliac, waist, groin and other parts. It can cause lymph node enlargement and lower limb swelling in the corresponding parts. Hematogenous metastasis is more common in bones (such as pelvis, sacrum, lumbar spine, upper femur, etc.) and internal organs (such as lungs, liver, brain, adrenal glands, testicles, etc.).

4. Pain: About 31% of prostate cancer patients will experience pain. Common pain sites are mainly waist, sacrum, buttocks, and hips. Pelvic and sciatica are the main symptoms of common prostate cancer, which are severe and unbearable. It may be caused by cancer metastasis to bones or invasion of nerves or hydronephrosis and kidney infection.

5. Infertility: If prostate cancer is not treated early, it may also lead to male infertility.
