How long can a person with bladder cancer usually live

Bladder cancer surgery can quickly remove tumor tissue and is effective, but it cannot remove tumor cells and is prone to metastasis and recurrence, so it is not suitable for the treatment of advanced cancer. Cancer diseases threaten people's lives, so can bladder cancer patients be cured and how long can they live in the late stage? This has always been a serious problem that plagues bladder cancer patients, so let's take a look at it together.

How long can a person with bladder cancer live? The factors that affect this are:
1. Hematuria Hematuria is the most common symptom of advanced bladder cancer. About 94% of bladder cancer patients will have hematuria. Hematuria is mostly macroscopic hematuria, followed by microscopic hematuria. It can be intermittent, whole-course hematuria, or terminal hematuria. It can also occur in the early stages, and due to the diversity of hematuria, it is easy to be misdiagnosed or delayed in diagnosis. As the disease progresses or the lesion range becomes larger or is complicated by infection, it may be accompanied by urinary tract irritation symptoms, discharge of slough-like substances, discharge of lumps, blood clots, or difficulty urinating due to lumps blocking the urinary tract, dripping, or even urine retention.
2. Urinary tract irritation symptoms. As cancer cells develop, urinary tract irritation may occur in the bladder trigone or when combined with infection. It is reported that bladder irritation symptoms also reveal the possibility of bladder carcinoma in situ. Therefore, patients with bladder irritation symptoms who lack sufficient evidence of infection should undergo a comprehensive examination as soon as possible to rule out bladder cancer.
