Bladder cancer cystoscopy

The occurrence of bladder cancer has a serious impact on the patient's life, but when this disease occurs, the patient must be examined and treated in time. But what needs to be checked for bladder cancer? We can take a closer look, hoping to help more patients.

1. Urinalysis and urine concentration to find pathological cells: This should be the first choice for bladder cancer examination. Urine collection requires clean containers and new specimen seals. It is best to collect urine in the morning. The tumor cell positive rate is about 70% to 80%. For those with negative cytology, 50ml of saline is injected into the bladder with a catheter to flush it back and forth repeatedly, and then samples are taken to check for tumor cells.

2. Type B ultrasound examination: The accuracy of transabdominal B ultrasound examination in diagnosing bladder tumors is proportional to the size of the tumor. The accuracy rate is high when the tumor diameter is greater than 1 cm, and vice versa. Since this examination is painless, it can be used as a screening method.

3. Cystoscopy to examine tumor tissue: It can directly observe the number, location, size, shape and relationship of the tumor to the ureteral orifice, etc. At the same time, biopsy can be performed to confirm the diagnosis, which is also an important basis for formulating a treatment plan.

4. Bladder cancer angiography: It is not widely used now, but it can sometimes supplement the deficiencies of cystoscopy. It is particularly valuable in determining whether there is invasion.

What should be checked for bladder cancer? Through the above introduction, I believe everyone has a certain understanding of the disease. Regardless of the disease, timely examination is crucial. Here, the editor wishes everyone good health and a speedy recovery for the patient.
