During the interviews and surveys of many endometrial cancer patients, it was found that many of them only think of seeking treatment for endometrial cancer when their condition becomes serious. This is why the treatment cycle of endometrial cancer is so long. What are the main examination methods for endometrial cancer? There are five main examination methods for endometrial cancer commonly used in clinical practice, which are introduced one by one below. Main methods of examination for endometrial cancer (I) B-ultrasound Understand the size of the uterus, thickness of the endometrium, abnormalities in the uterine cavity, and whether the myometrium is involved. Typical sonographic images show an enlarged uterus or larger than the menopausal age, irregular and uneven solid echo areas in the uterine cavity, and the disappearance of the uterine cavity line. When the myometrium is obviously involved, irregular and unclear echo areas in the myometrium can be seen. However, in the very early stage, only the uterus is normal in size and the uterine cavity lines are disordered or interrupted. (II) Segmental curettage It is the most commonly used and valuable method for distinguishing endometrial adenocarcinoma from cervical adenocarcinoma. (III) Cytological smear There are cervical scraping, posterior vaginal fornix smear, and endocervical canal aspiration samples for cytological examination, but the positive rate is not high, and the positive ones are only for screening, so it is rarely used clinically. (IV) Hysteroscopy The uterine cavity can be directly visualized to understand the size, location, and shape of the lesion. Hysteroscopic curettage or biopsy can also be performed and sent for pathological examination, which helps to detect smaller and early lesions. (V) Others CT, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and lymph node angiography can all show tumor images and should be used as appropriate when necessary. We should always pay attention to the causes of endometrial cancer and make preparations for the preventive health care of endometrial cancer. We hope that the causes of endometrial cancer mentioned above will be helpful to you. |
