What effects does uterine cancer have on the body?

Uterine cancer is a very common disease in my country. It is a malignant tumor in gynecology. In the middle and late stages, uterine cancer will spread through the blood or directly spread. This disease needs to be prevented, detected and treated early. In the early stages, before it spreads, it can be treated.

1. Anovulation, such as functional uterine bleeding accompanied by anovulation or luteal dysfunction, long-term menstrual disorders, cause the endometrium to be continuously stimulated by estrogen, without progesterone opposition or progesterone deficiency, the endometrium lacks cyclical changes, and is in a state of proliferativeness for a long time.

2. Infertility, especially infertility caused by ovarian anovulation, significantly increases the risk of endometrial cancer. In patients with endometrial cancer, these patients do not ovulate or ovulate less, resulting in a lack or insufficiency of progesterone, which causes the endometrium to be continuously stimulated by estrogen. During pregnancy, the placenta produces estrogen and progesterone, which causes the endometrium to undergo corresponding changes during pregnancy. During lactation, due to the action of the hypothalamus and pituitary gland, the ovarian function is temporarily suppressed, which protects the endometrium from estrogen stimulation. Infertility, especially infertility caused by anovulation, causes the endometrium to be in a state of hyperplasia for a long time.

3. Obesity Obesity, especially postmenopausal obesity, significantly increases the risk of endometrial cancer. Ovarian function declines after menopause, and androstenedione secreted by the adrenal glands can be converted into estrone by aromatase in adipose tissue. The more adipose tissue there is, the stronger the conversion ability and the higher the estrone level in plasma. Estrone is the main estrogen in the body of postmenopausal women, and the endometrium is the target organ of estrogen. Long-term exposure of the endometrium to estrogen without progesterone antagonism can lead to endometrial hyperplasia and cancer.
