How to Exercise for Prostate Cancer

Exercise is not only beneficial for prostate cancer patients, but also for patients with other chronic diseases. Even the simplest exercise such as walking and doing housework is good for the body. Studies have shown that moderate physical exercise can also reduce the risk of prostate cancer. This is because physical exercise can maintain endocrine stability and regulate immune function.

1) Resistance exercise. Appropriate resistance exercise can improve muscle endurance and strength, improve living conditions, and reduce side effects such as fatigue and weight loss caused by endocrine therapy. Sit-ups, plank support, barbell push-ups, and some machine exercises are all good resistance exercises, but care should be taken to avoid sports injuries.

2) Aerobic exercise. This type of exercise can not only increase bone strength and reduce body fat, but also enhance cardiopulmonary function, prevent cardiovascular disease and diabetes, and help improve the patient's erectile function. However, it should be noted that if there is prostate cancer bone metastasis, weak bones, or other cardiovascular diseases, aerobic exercise should be performed with caution. For the elderly, jogging, brisk walking, swimming, mountain climbing, and dancing are all good aerobic exercises.

To prevent prostate cancer, exercise intensity should be moderate

To prevent prostate cancer through physical exercise, the amount and intensity of exercise should be moderate. The choice of exercise intensity should be adjusted according to one's own habits and age, and should not be too intense. In addition, riding a bicycle can cause prostatitis, and incorrect riding posture is the main cause. Riding for too long, or on a bumpy road, with an improperly adjusted seat and incorrect posture, it is easier to stimulate the perineum, causing congestion, swelling and damage to the prostate. Therefore, in addition to the correct posture, it is best to exercise for about half an hour every day.

Therefore, male friends should also take time to exercise in addition to their busy work. 30 minutes to an hour a day can ensure that all indicators of the body are normal, thereby regulating immune function, preventing prostate diseases, and even prostate cancer.
