Estrogen-independent endometrial cancers include serous carcinomas, clear cell carcinomas, etc.
Endometrial cancer is curable, and the cure rate of early-stage endometrial cancer is relatively high. Moreover, current medical technology has greatly increased the cure rate of cancer. The key is to detect it in the early stage in order to effectively treat it. For early-stage patients, it mainly depends on whether appropriate treatment methods are taken in time. Surgical resection and minimally invasive interventional therapy are the main treatment methods in the early stage. The cure rate of early-stage endometrial cancer is as high as more than 80%.
Endometrial cancer may recur after surgery. There are two types of recurrence of endometrial cancer: local recurrence, such as the reappearance of cancer in the vagina or pelvic cavity after hysterectomy; and systemic recurrence, which is a tumor found in any part of the body after treatment. Vaginal recurrence is the most common site.
Since endometrial cancer may recur within three years after treatment, it is necessary to conduct regular follow-up after treatment of uterine cancer. Most cases are reviewed every three to four months, and every six months for the next three years, and once a year thereafter.
