Uterine cancer is actually endometrial cancer, which occurs in the inner layer of the uterus. It is a common cancer in the female reproductive system and ranks fourth among the most common cancers in women. It is more common in women aged 50 to 60, often after menopause. In recent years, the incidence rate has been increasing worldwide. It can metastasize to many parts of the body: spreading from the uterus downward to the cervical canal, from the fallopian tubes upward to the ovaries, or infiltrating into the tissues surrounding the uterus; or metastasize to sites away from the uterus via the lymphatic system and blood circulation. 1. Long-term and continuous stimulation of the endometrium by estrogen is related to anovulatory dysfunctional uterine bleeding, polycystic ovary syndrome, functional ovarian tumors, and long-term use of estrogen after menopause without progesterone antagonism. |
