What are the nursing diagnoses for skin cancer

In our daily lives, we should pay special attention to changes in dark spots, dots or moles on our skin, be alert to the formation of new moles, bleeding moles, and changes in the shape and color of new and old dark spots. If you find any of the above symptoms, you should seek medical attention immediately without delay. So what are the nursing diagnoses for skin cancer? Let's learn about them together.

The lighter your skin and eyes are, the more likely you are to get sunburned and the more likely you are to get skin cancer. Long-term exposure, such as outdoor jobs like farming, certainly increases your risk of skin cancer. Short-term exposure, such as sunbathing at the beach, which causes blistering, can also be harmful. Even moderate seasonal sunbathing, done year after year, can increase your risk of skin cancer. Damage to skin cells from sun exposure is cumulative over time, so middle-aged and older people are more likely to get skin cancer.

The easiest way to avoid skin cancer is to reduce exposure to cancer-causing ultraviolet rays. There are three basic ways to reduce the damage of ultraviolet rays to the skin. You should consider using one or more of these: (a) reduce the time spent in the sun; (b) use clothing and hats to protect your skin when you go out; (c) if you must stay in the sun and cannot use clothing to protect your skin, or if you do not want to cover your skin with clothing because you want to get a tan, you should apply sunscreen. Sunscreens come in creams, oils, and other formulations. They contain certain chemical ingredients that can prevent the most harmful rays of sunlight from damaging the skin.
