What should you eat for gallbladder cancer

What should you eat for gallbladder cancer

Gallbladder cancer has no specific and typical symptoms in the early stage, making it difficult to diagnose and poorly treated. The main symptoms of advanced gallbladder cancer are right upper abdominal pain, jaundice, a hard mass in the right upper abdomen, and weight loss. The presence of jaundice indicates that there has been lymph node metastasis and obstruction of the extrahepatic bile duct, and the tumor cannot be surgically removed; jaundice may also occur if combined with stone obstruction. Gallbladder cancer directly spreads to the stomach and duodenum, which can cause gastric pyloric obstruction.

Gallbladder cancer metastasizes early and widely, with liver metastasis being the most common. Cholangiocarcinoma refers to cancer originating in the extrahepatic bile duct, excluding intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, gallbladder cancer, and ampullary cancer. It is further divided into upper bile duct cancer, middle bile duct cancer, and lower bile duct cancer. The main manifestations include rapidly progressive obstructive jaundice, weight loss, gallbladder enlargement, liver enlargement, and gastrointestinal symptoms; loss of appetite, indigestion, fear of greasy food, etc. Abdominal pain and symptoms of acute cholangitis are rare, and clinically difficult to differentiate from pancreatic head cancer or periampullary cancer. Obvious weight loss, fatigue, and cachexia may be seen in the late stages.
